1. Can you really have a quality lesson over the internet?
With the advances in technology today, virtually everyone has access to video conferencing either with their computer or their smart phone or tablet. Furthermore, video and audio transmission over the internet has been improved ten fold in the last several years. Even mid grade webcams deliver good enough performance to allow for a good lesson experience. Is it as good as an in person lesson? No, but for those who aren't able to take lessons in their area with a quality teacher, it's definitely the next best thing.
2. How will you follow along with the music I am playing?
Most of the time I will have the music in my own library. However, if I don't have the part, I usually have the student scan it into a PDF and email it to me so I can have the part in front of me during their lesson.
3. How do you accept payment for remote lessons?
I only accept credit card payments for remote lessons which is provided by Stripe payments securely right from this website. You'll be provided with an account that you can log into each time.
4. How long are remote lessons?
Remote lessons are usually the same amount of time as in person lessons: no less than 1 hour in length. Please plan accordingly.
