Frequently Asked Questions
1. Who can take lessons?
Lessons are open to all ages and playing levels as long as you are willing to put in some time and effort into each lesson and you have a drive to develop your playing.
2. Do I have to practice?
Well, yes. The only real way for you to get better is for you to put in some practice, practicing the concepts we cover in lessons. I'll do my best to give you the tools to accomplish the goals you set, but ultimately, I'm just a coach. You have to implement those concepts through repetition. I've included a bevy of educational resources on this website to help you maximize your practice time. Check out the "Learn" page.
3. What will you cover in our lessons?
Lessons are designed with the individual student in mind based off of their goals we will set together. Whether you are preparing for an audition, a competition, or you just want to get better at your instrument, lessons are catered towards making you a better musician.
4. Will I have to purchase any materials?
You'll receive a list of required materials on your first lesson. The books will be catered towards your playing level. If you are unable to obtain the materials for financial reasons, we might be able to work something out. However, the best situation is for you to buy them yourself. These are books you will retain the rest of your playing career.
5. How do you schedule lessons?
At this time, lessons are scheduled by contacting me directly either by email or directly through this site with your available times for both in person and remote lessons.
